1.1. Proposal Motivation

Ultraviolet rays cause several environmental problems. In addition, it causes medical damage to human beings, typically causing skin cancer, skin aging, and cataracts. Accordingly, while thinking, 'Can't it be used for something beneficial to humans while reducing the amount of ultraviolet rays that only cause damage to the earth's surface?' became I was able to derive the thought, 'How about using the ingredients of sunscreen when considering the power generation principle?' Based on this imagination, the idea was proposed, and it aims to benefit mankind around the world by aiming to achieve eco-friendly development along with human benefits.

 

1.2. Proposal

Ultraviolet rays have great energy. In order to use this large amount of energy for power generation, it will be an important issue how to turn the turbine of the generator. Basically, a lot of power generation using sunlight has been made, but it was found through preliminary investigation that no research was done on a generator to utilize only ultraviolet light. There are physical and chemical sunscreens in sunscreen, and we decided to take advantage of the fact that chemical sunscreens protect the skin by absorbing UV rays and generating and releasing heat when exposed to UV rays. It is to generate electricity by floating a flying object and putting a gas having the same properties as a sunscreen into a tube in the structure of the flying object and connecting it to a tube and a piston-type generator. A brief structural diagram is shown in the picture below.

The gas molecules with the sunscreen component in the gas tube vibrate and expand to apply pressure to the piston. As indicated at the top of the figure, the gas flow (gas pressure direction) is indicated in red. The overall structure is shown in the large picture, and the two small pictures at the bottom are imagining and suggesting the continuous operation of piston compression and piston contraction.

 

1.3. Uses and Effects

I thought about how the energy of ultraviolet rays can be beneficial to humans. If installed in an appropriate area, the aircraft itself has the properties of a sunscreen and blocks ultraviolet rays harmful to the human body. If there is energy left over by increasing the efficiency, it may be possible to supply energy to the ground by storing it as electrical energy. Finally, if our team's proposal is applied, it will solve the problems of environmental pollution and harm to the human body and bring about the effect of eco-friendly development.
